Hi Everyone
Well today was day 1 of my weight loss journey. Now I know 9 stone 8 lbs is not considered obese for someone of my height (5 ft 5). However I am on the higher end of the ‘healthy weight’ and I do not feel comfortable in my skin and when I gain 1 lb it feels like 3lbs. I have got down to 9 stone before and remember actually liking my body so would like to get down to that weight again and take it from there.
Okay so a break down of my food today is:
Breakfast: Special K and Soya Milk (I have soya milk as I am dairy intolerant)
Mid-Morning Snack: Banana
Lunch: Salad (lettuce, plum tomatoes, cucumber, green pepper, vegetable couscous, 1 spoonful of tomato pasta, ¼ slice of ham)
Afternoon Snack: Alpro soya yoghurt (I would normally have this after my lunch straight away but then feel hungry again when I get home so I saved it until I got home from work)
Tea: Slow Cooked Beef Stew (carrots, onions, beef, vegetables, gravy and mash potatoes – I have plenty of vegetables as I’m not the biggest meat eater, it’s the carbs I have to watch!)
I think overall today has been a very good day, although doesn’t help when the house is filled with freshly baked scones and coconut/jam cupcakes – temptation at the highest level!

I always class the first few days as ‘Novelty days’ so the true test will be in a week or so!

*Tip*: keep yourself busy so boredom doesnt walk you to the biscuit tin!
